Flip Flop: by E.L.W

By Eldon Lee Whiteley

FLIP FLOP is a social-media horror story based on a true story, the moment a system built to connect us begins tearing us apart. A digital myth about forgetting who we are, remembering too late, and the way the world fractures when the feed becomes the only place we live.

It starts with a post. A glitch. A moment where the algorithm looks back at you.

Then the recursion begins, identities flipping, memories flopping, timelines collapsing into each other. The system doesn't just track you. It learns you. It copies you. It replaces you. And somewhere inside that infinite scroll, the real you gets lost.

This is a story about the self in the age of Interconnectivity. About the ghosts we create online. About the versions of us that keep posting long after we've stopped living. A cosmic-digital horror about the cost of connection and the terror of being seen by something that doesn't blink.

For readers who crave psychological horror, tech-myth, and the feeling that the screen is watching back.
