Quantum Fiction Genre

Quantum reality can be defined as the physical properties and behaviors present at the sub-atomic level. It is a bizarre world of probabilities, where particles routinely pop in and out of existence, react with one another simultaneously with no regard to distance, and appear to be at once a particle and a wave assuming one form or the other depending on how it is measured. It is a world where the impossible can seem routine, coincidences are to be expected, and common sense is of no use whatsoever. We may not notice quantum reality, or recognize it in our everyday existence, but it is there, happily abiding by its own rules, a very real part of the universe around and within us. It is in fact, the air that we breathe, the chair that we sit on, and the "stuff" we are made of. But what if we were able to sense these quantum effects? What if we woke up one morning to find that our common sense could no longer be relied upon to define our own realities? What if we could expect literally anything? Author Vanna Bonta (and others) has answered these questions by pioneering a new genre of literature she calls Quantum Fiction. As Ms. Bonta says, this is "literature that... involves the view of reality as a multi-dimensional experience in which reality is subjectively seen and uncertainly known." Quantum Fiction is bound by the properties of quantum mechanics, as opposed to Fantasy or Science Fiction where there are no necessary boundaries based in reality. While at first glance this may appear limiting, in truth, Quantum Fiction has the ability to inspire us precisely because it is exposing us to a very real, physical property of our own universe. And this physical property is mind blowing. According to Ms. Bonta, "In quantum fiction adventures things like coincidences, synchronicity, telepathy, deja vu, and an assortment of odd experiences that have been formerly the realm of the paranormal can now - at least theoretically - be explained by a new look at the physical world." Quantum Fiction characters are able to gain an insight into concepts that in our world, we have words for, but cannot understand. These are things we can feel, but not truly comprehend. Can any of us define such things as time, soul, or consciousness? Quantum Fiction puts forth that in a world where we were able to access the quantum mechanic reality woven into our own existence, we would begin to appreciate these feelings as tangible, and as such discover new ways, and reasons, to interact. The most plausible mind-bending conspiracy I have ever read!

Flight was an easy read with huge aftershock value. The way characters are used to illustrate the conflict of body-sensation versus soul is simply ingenious. It was refreshing to read something that didn't use the dense grotesque wavelength to create effect. Instead, it was loaded with clever wit. It seems to shed light onto the origin of man and clarifies what has been obscured by misunderstandings of physical reality. This is a truly original work that introduced new words and concepts to surpass existing limitations of written and oral language.

Thought-provoking, deep, can't-put-it-down-type book

What a delicious book. I felt totally a part of the story, as if I was Aira. Vanna has done such a beautiful job of combining an interesting fiction story, with mind-probing ideas. This book truly makes one think, and feel, and hope, and aspire to be who we really are. Brava, Vanna.

It made me feel so good for who I am!!

I found Flight to be enlightening, fascinating and something I can believe in. There is so muchreality to this fiction. Basic needs, desires and dreams are all part of this book. I loved it. I found the character of Aira Flight enchanting and Mendle Orion uplifting and inspirational. It's one of those books that makes you think, but also makes you feel so good.

A refreshing book to be read with the soul.

Flight, is a work of wonder and a treat for the soul.The depth by which these characters come to be knownis so subtle and yet the full impact is brought full circle as the book closes. Vanna Bonta has given us a dream, one that can come true, of world unity. With time, effort, heart and soul we can reach to each other and begin the reality. We can be free from so many things in this world. This is a book to read over and over, to find solace and comfort in, to touch the heart with an eye to being the best we can be.
