The Farnham Flash Fiction Competition has been running since 2018 and is now in its seventh year. From July 2025, it runs twice a year, giving short fiction writers more opportunities to enter and shine.

We welcome stories up to 500 words and award three prizes.

Hosted as part of the Farnham Literary Festival, the competition celebrates creativity in the beautiful regency town of Farnham-at the gateway to the Surrey Hills and Jane Austen country.
