There really is no better book to understanding the flags and emblems of nations around the world. Although outdated due to the constantly changing political landscape of the world, this book provides interesting details and beautiful pictures of general, state, regional, and other flags as well as their development and origin. It also provides information about the symbolism of national emblems and how they have been changed under different political regimes. It is a great addition to any library for a person who has a casual interest in heraldry and vexillology or the serious collector.
