Must-have book for cichlidophiles

Wayne Leibel is one of the leading experts on western-hemisphere cichlids and writes about them engagingly from an aquarist's point of view. What's here is very good information, but the number of species described in detail is far from comprehensive.This book is now available in a combined volume with Loiselle's on African cichlids and Sands's on Central American cichlids, under the title "Popular Tropical Cichlids." Those who are broadly interested in aquarium fish may prefer the latter edition.
