The author (Mitch Schultz) writes so openly and honestly about going through tradgedy with God. Very powerful and hard-hitting. I couldn't help but cry at times and re-examine my own views of who God is and why bad things seem to happen to good people. Thanks for sharing this book with us, Mitch, and letting God speak to us through your life and your pain...This book is written in the form of a journal as Mitch and his family struggle through the near-death of his wife and death of their son. The author puts together his journal entries (drafted during the crisis) into book form, with insights and scripture references through-out.Although Mitch offers no easy answers or solutions as to why God allows such suffering in the world, he takes us through how the struggle impacted him and deepened his faith - and his resolve to serve a God we can ultimately trust. He concludes that though we can know God and trust Him with our lives, we canot always understand Him. "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, declares the Lord."
