Fire 2: The Voice Catches Fire
What happens when the voice God gave you catches fire?
There is a voice beneath the fear, beneath the shame, beneath the expectations of others and the systems that taught you when to speak, when to stay quiet, and who you were permitted to become. It is the voice God placed within you-a voice created not merely to make sound, but to bear witness.
Fire Part 2: The Voice Catches Fire is a prophetic journey through the restoration of that voice.
Beginning with the God who speaks and creates, this book traces the places where human voice is given, lost, buried, distorted, healed, and ultimately set ablaze by the presence of God. Through Scripture, story, prophetic reflection, and song, Dr. Lisa M. Hill explores what happens when people stop allowing fear, wounds, failure, power, culture, and even religious systems to have the final word over what God has spoken.
But restoration is not simply about finding your voice. It is about surrendering it. Because a restored voice placed upon the altar becomes something more than self-expression. It becomes testimony. It becomes prophetic hope. It becomes parrēsia-holy courage and Spirit-empowered boldness. It becomes witness.
And witness was never meant to remain inside the sanctuary. The fire travels. It enters families, churches, communities, workplaces, creative spaces, cities, and the places where broken stories are still waiting for restoration. Eventually, those who were restored become restorers. Those who found their voices begin helping others recover theirs. And burning ones become builders.
The Voice Catches Fire is an invitation to return to the altar, recover what God placed within you, test what you carry by His Word, and step onto the open road carrying the fire faithfully.
Your voice was never meant to end with you. The fire has somewhere to go.
