A story about an old dressmaker in medieval times who became the friend of fairies.

A delightful story book for children ages 4-8. The illustrations were great, and the text was very well done. They worked well together, too. There were 24 scenes to this book, most of them were two-pages wide, but not all. This book is probably best read to a young child. And from time to time the reader will show the child the pictures that correspond to the text. The story is about a dressmaker named Finn who is good at what he does for a living. Most of his customers believe in fairies, but not Finn. When the king of Finn's country wants to marry off his son the prince, Finn is commissioned to make lots of dresses for a "wife-finding" event. Interestingly, Finn ends up making dresses for both humans and fairies. I would have liked the book better if the fairies had not cut up all the original dresses. And I also would have liked it better if the fairies had attended the "wife-finding" event. But I liked the story a lot and I'm sure young children will, too. 5 stars!
