Legend has it that the Great Serpent Oorn laid its egg on the world of Fen Gallah, but some great evil befell the egg and cracked it in two. All this happened long before the ancient Kallesh worked their magic super-science upon the world, only just barely avoiding its destruction.

These days, things are going well, as they have for the past tens of thousands of years. Sorcerers are sorcering, pirates are pirating, kingdoms conquer their neighbors both on land and under the sea, and adventurers make sure monsters stay in their place.

But the petty squabbles between human and non-human kingdoms, between tyrants and those who would depose them, and between the sorcerers who would rule them all, seem insignificant compared to the ancient horrors their bickering threatens to unleash.
