Hard to find material helped us a lot!

I bought both the downloaded version and the hardback version for my brother, a first time offender looking at 5 years in a Federal prison. He had never been in jail before - all most people think about was that awfully scary TV series OZ. The book set that kind of issue straight and gave practical advice to follow and most helpful was what to expect from the time you are admitted. While the author was 'stationed' at a medical facility with all levels of prisoners from childmolesters to first timers, my brother is at a satelite camp which is much freer. But the sentence he got was 5 years instead of the author's 7 months. I gave my brother the book and I read the downloaded version. Then we would talk about different things we read. It was a great stress reliever to read the practical advice the author gave.

Required reading for the unprepared !

It is unfortunate anyone needs this book, but if you are reading this review you are in a similiar situation. This is truly a valuable tool to get yourself ready to enter the Federal System. Lucky we are looking at a short time for a family member. But this helped us understand what we are facing and what we can and cannot do.
