After a summer of processing some personal revelations, the sixteen-year-old "fire user," Artesia Addison, returns to Fearghus Academy where she sees all her friends she hasn't seen over the summer. No matter how busy she and her friends get with the tournament, the city's criminal underworld takes no breaks. The criminal mastermind Alptraum Engel has disruptive plans for the tournament, for Fearghus Academy, and for Artesia.
