Beautiful illustrations

I received this book when I was 11 years old and have treasured it ever since. The fables are a quick read with an important message. My favorite aspect of this book is the beautiful color pencil illustrations that border the text and depict a scene from the fable on the opposite page. At the bottom of the page with the text the moral is noted in italics so if you are trying to quickly find a story to convey your message you can find it easily. I would recommend this book for any child, teacher, grandparent or just for someone who finds enjoyment in story telling.
