Sweet tale of understanding

This is a sweet tale about a sister and brother who are determined to help their widowed mother find the resources to put food on the table. First the boy, then the girl seek work, and when hired by a difficult taskmaster, who says they are not allowed to get angry, it shows that under certain circumstances you cannot always control your temper. It is beautifully illustrated and demonstrates the power of humor in getting through trying times. Any child, five and older, should enjoy this book.
