How can you call it a romance novel if the 2 main characters never spend time together

I own over 70 Jessica Steele books. This one is her worse by far I don't understand how it got published. Meredith and Ryan meet went on three dates then get engaged and one week later get married. Meredith finds out on her wedding day, Ryan only married her for the shares her father left her for her husband to inherit the day of their wedding. Meredith loved Ryan and married him for love and then lies to him and said she only married him to get away from her family. Then spends 150 pages living with her aunt and uncle or her friend Tessa barely speaking to Ryan or having any communication with him at all. No more than three or four pages per chapter. I was bored out of my mind. Meredith was mean and harsh with Ryan they do spend one night together. But even then it was no more than two pages. I was actually thinking this is it. This is all you get. A waste of 6 hours that you can never get back. No, redeeming qualities whatsoever. I'd demand my money back but from whom it's not the sellers fault. I think I'd have more fun watching this book burn then actually reading it.
