Nice introduction to Native Americans for young children

Covers The Indians and the Pilgrims, The Forest Indians and some of their great chiefs; The Plains Indians; The Desert Indians and articles made from the baffalo; Acorn Indians (Californian); The Woodcarvers and Fishermen (Pacific Coast) and Where Are the Tribes Today?. None are covered in great detail, but give enough information for young children. Nice introduction to Native American Tribes even though the language is not politically correct with the use of the term "Indians" rather than Native American. But the book was written in 1954.

this childrens book is filled with some of the most wonderful sketches and art work of indians. this book is not true to fact . But it does have an easy to read interesting story line that shows the culture ,wisdom and greatness of some wonderful indians in history. It so briefly covers the indians from the east to west coast,with some very interesting information on how they lived,what they wore and thier beliefs. I liked this book.And for a book published in 1954 it is really well done.
