Faith Is Stranger Than Fiction

A fascinating collection of true stories proving the omnipotence and immutability of God. He calls His people to live by faith, placing full trust in Him. In practice, this often means that our Lord wants us to take a step away from actions that the world considers logical and prudent and instead trust Him to work things out in unexpected ways that better glorify Him. A fantastic book of how God honours true Faith

I picked this up from my local Christian book shop and I have to confess that I had never heard of the author before nor had anyone recommended this book to me. However I picked up a copy and I am very glad that I did. This book is all about people putting their trust in God and how he rewards true and genuine faith. He draws from a wide variety of experiences from ministers, missionaries, Christian children and even professional sports athletes. I believe that this book is best suited to the Christian reader, whether young in the Christian faith, it will give you great confidence and assurance that you can always rely on God, or those mature in Christian years; it helps remind us how great God is and how he can reward faith not necessarily in the way he wants but in his own ways that may appear strange to ourselves at first. A truly great read. The main aim of this is to teach us, as the title suggests, that God answers our prayers but not in our way, in His own way, which is always better.

Well grounded book on true faith!

This book is a refreshing look at True Faith as compared to the 'word of faith' diatribe that is currently flooding the Christian book market. All illustrations are referenced with the Bible in context and the studies at the end of the chapters are actually very good and build on what the author was teaching. This is, in my humble opinion, a very good book by an author that, at least in the Midwest, is not very well known. Highly recommended!
