An Artistic Adaptation of Aesop's Fables

Fablesauce is a beautiful little book, full of charm, wit and wisdom. Pat Lessie has taken the traditional stories of Aesop and reincarnated them. In their new form they short, clever, and accessible for young readers. All of the fables are written in rhymed couplets, which makes for easy reading. They are especially fun to read outloud and would be great in a classroom. While the stories retain Aesop's morals, they have some surprising twists and embellishments along the way. These new details refresh and enrich the timeless classics. I highly recommend this book. It is fun, musical, and a great read. It is full of morals, but not heavy-handed. It is a joy to have on my bookshelf.
