Extinction Game: The Custodians: A Political Conspiracy Thriller Told Through Documents
The leaked files show that the model was weighted. Thomas Carrington decides to say so in public.
The simulation he helped create gives certain private institutions an increasing advantage as governments weaken. Internal settings explain how those outcomes were engineered. Historical records and donor connections suggest where the underlying ideas came from.
Thomas prepares for a live television appearance. Before the broadcast, he sends different parts of his research to people he trusts, with instructions for continuing the work without him.
Afterward, he disappears.
His daughter Clara, investigative journalist Leah Mercer, and systems expert Miriam Sloane are left with separate pieces of a dossier and no reliable account of his final movements. Legal warnings arrive. Public statements dispute his interpretation. Changes to the game make its original language harder to examine.
Clara wants her father found. Leah wants his evidence heard. Miriam insists they distinguish what the files establish from what Thomas believed. Together, they must decide what can be published while the man best placed to answer questions about it remains missing.
Through leaked attachments, legal correspondence, police records, interview transcripts, and an unfinished manuscript, Extinction Game: The Custodians follows the struggle to keep an investigation open when its author can no longer defend it.
Volume Two completes the continuous two-volume novel and contains Parts IX-XVI. Begin with Volume One, The Vanishing.
