Even better the second time

I am reading this book for the second time and I'm actually finding it even more insightful than I did the first time, which was pretty good...

Wonderful book that really helped me

This book has help to lead me from the confusion that I had in my own career. So often we fear doing what internally we know is right for us. This book gave me a view of the path I was on and in doing so, gave me the insight to make the choices best for me in getting to fullfillment in my work.

This book is about honoring the process of life.

I read this book years ago and can honestly say it was one of the baby steps necessary to get me to the point where I walked away from a six-figure advertising career to finish writing my novel The Fifth Goddess. It's not all peaches and cream. Life can be messy. It can be complex. And it's rarely without drama and major life decisions. Don talks about all of this with grace and insight. His willingness to live his process is an inspiration to anyone who is open to it. I would highly recommend this book for anyone who is questioning his/her path in life.

A roadmap for anyone struggling to find deeper meaning.

What a marvelous book! From the beginning, I felt that special connection one makes with an author whose personal and self-revealing style touches the hidden places within us. As the author struggles to discover what was really valuable and important in his life, I too began asking life-altering questions: Where is my life really going? What are the things I truly value in my life? What do I honestly want the focus of my career to be? How do I want to express the love and integrity inside of me? The open, honest and often vulnerable presentation of the author's personal experiences and explorations resonated with both the emotional and intellectual parts of me struggling with the same issues. I particularly appreciated that the author did not dilute his process or try to soften mine with cliches and platitudes. Instead, he offered a human process with all of its inherent doubts, mistakes, questions, insights, sadness, and ultimate understandings, growth and joy. When I finshed this book, I felt I was much more aware of, and far better prepared to continue, my own journey

A must read for anyone confused about their career

This book is a must read for anyone confused about the value of their work or considering a career change. It is for the person who likes to probe the deeper levels of meaning in life. Don Marrs' path is intriguing and fascinating to read about. I could relate. It's a spiritual book and reads like a great movie! S. Scolastic
