positive book about dating and waiting!

i waited until i read the whole book to write my review even though i suspected from the beginning it was going to be a good one. the book has a very positive and upbeat tone. there are a lot of short stories of couples or dating situations thrown in to drive home the author's points. the book is based on the law of attraction but it really just explains how you need to think about dating so that you attract someone good into your life. it teaches you how to talk to yourself about dating so you encourage yourself instead of discourage yourself in the process. i really loved this book. i did all the exercises and really thought about them, they are spaced throughout the book. i actually felt lighter after reading this book. the author gets you excited about your future and that's what i needed. she also stresses that it's important to be patient and to not get discouraged if finding your soul mate doesn't happen right away. it really is about you being positive and letting the universe send you a mate that is perfect for you. there is so much sincerity that i just feel like it's all going to work out. the book speaks to men and women as well as those that are younger and older, after all, everyone deserves love! i suggest buying the book, reading it and doing the exercises, reflecting on what the messages mean for you and then just living your life to the fullest as you wait for you and your soul mate cross paths.

I have also just finished your insightful book. I really have a deep admiration and gratitude for you and your wisdom and the clarity I found through your writing. This book has so many fabulous pearls of insight and wisdom and I have been doing everything wrong on dates. The Soulmate assignments were so clarifying and I think I have been coming from a place of scarcity and and confusion about what I really wanted and now I have all this space to set my dreams free. I am a huge believer in the laws of attraction and feel my lack of clarity may have been keeping me running in cirlcles. I think most profoundly I heard the message to fully live my life and enjoy myself and trust the Universe now that I have clearly defined my Soul Mate. I am so grateful for this book!

Marla's profession as a matchmaking expert is obvious on every page. This is a must read if you serious about finding your soul mate.

A Great Guide for Dating and Finding Love

With wit and wisdom, Excuse Me Your Soul Mate is Waiting gives you just the right tools to attract the right partner into your life in a fun and effortless way. It teaches you to be clear about what you "don't want", identify what you "do want," use the law of attraction technique to feeling good about wanting it so you increase the odds of attracting it, and then getting into the right allowing space to increase the likelihood that it will happen. The book goes further than some of the classic Excuse Me books in that it is also filled with great dating advice that come from the author's years of experience as a Matchmaker. The tips are a little more oriented towards women (women tend to read these kinds of books more than men), but there is also useful for advice for men as well making this a great book for both sexes to enjoy. One tip I really enjoyed was the answer to the question, "Is he not ready for a relationship, or not ready for you?" The answer? (Brace yourself..) He is just not that into you! Why, because as the author also asserts any guy who really is interested in a woman will reserve her for himself. He will not want to let her go. He will just know that she is "the One." How? (She has numerous advice and I share a bit here with you so you can again get the idea of how this book is filled with great dating advice). He will just have a gut feeling that she is "the One."
