This book makes it clear how one accepts God greatest gift, Jesus Christ as Savior. A good read for a new Christian or for someone searching for meaning in his/her life.

He is risen! You, too, maybe!

This compassionate Father-Son team feels your pain: "While some of us may have more pains and regrets than others, none of us can escape the inevitable wounding and scarring life on this planet is sure to bring. Even the Earth feels the excruciating pain of trouble ... it groans ... all this pain, heartache ... all the pain and ruin we see and experience .... all the pain, tragedy and death that dogs us so relentlessly. The pain, tragedy and death that wreak havoc upon us ... death, pain, and sickness." I draw those few examples from a single paragraph, p. 18, but similar notes of sympathy appear throughout the book, on nearly every page. Josh and Sean McDowell know exactly how you feel, if you're a Christian who suffers from earthly existence. But there is hope. "Pantheists" say that "Life's a [female dog], and then you die." The McDowells don't say that. The McDowells say: Life's a [female dog], but when it is finally over, you can go to Heaven, and won't THAT be nice!! (If you're Tammy Faye Bakker, the female dog ALSO goes to Heaven. In her 1978 bestseller, I GOTTA BE ME, Tammy Faye tells how, when her fluffy poodle died, the bereavement nearly wreaked excruciating pain, trouble and ruin vis-à-vis her mascara--until the Lord gave her inner assurance that she and Fluffy would be reunited one day, in Heaven; an historic reunion that took place on 20 July 2007.) There is a reason for everything, including pain. Take Jesus. The McDowells explain that Jesus allowed the Jews to nail him to a cross for just one reason: so that men and women, mostly non-Jewish, can escape from the pain, suffering, trouble, and regret of life here on Earth, in order to experience the everlasting, pain-free, bovine bliss of Heaven--in a cube-shaped city in the Sky where there is no change, no struggle, no trouble, no children, no aging--no weather, even! Just the happiness of fulfilled desire! Imagine a life after death where everyone feels warm and fuzzy all over, for ever and ever! That nice world can be yours, people! And the McDowells can help you to imagine it, in advance. How nice is "nice"? Very, VERY nice. On page 76, the McDowells cut to the chase: "Okay, let's address that question that lingers in the back of your mind, but that you may be hesitant to ask. Will there be SEX in Heaven?" All great Christian theologians from--saints Matthew, Mark, and Luke, to Augustine and Aquinas, to Rev. Pat Robertson and Pope Benedict XVI--are in complete agreement on the answer to that question: Absolutely Not! (St. Augustine explains that men, in Heaven, will have an ordinary-looking penis of incorruptible flesh, but it will no longer be used for anything; nor will women, in Heaven, have any further use for their perfect place in which to put it!) "But is it true," the McDowells ask, "that sex will not exist in Heaven?" The answer, revealed to the McDowells, is more hopeful than St. Augustine was letting on: Maybe, just maybe, you will
