Animal sounds around the world. In English, the duck says, "Quack, quack " But in French, the duck says, "Kwang, kwang " Children love voicing sound words, and Ellen Slusky Weinstein's lively book... This description may be from another edition of this product.
This is my 2-year-old son's favorite book! This book teaches animals sounds in English, Spanish, French, and Japanese, and interjects the cow's universal "moo" in a cyclical format that allows even young children to anticipate the storyline.
Everytime My Son Says Moooooo!

We originally got this book at the library, but my 15 month old son loved it so much that we went ahead and bought it. After only a time or two, he was chiming in everytime the cow said "moooooo"! Now, at 18 months old, he's even saying what all the other animals say and in the different languages too. I also love the illustrations - it's a great intruduction to other countries and cultures. Great book!
Moo...

I am still waiting for the official review from my niece...but I have no doubt she will enjoy the book. Humorous and well illustrated, the book introduces kids to foreign languages by pointing out how they differ in conveying the sounds of animals. Frankly, I enjoyed it. My hope is that the early introduction to Spanish, French, and Japanese will give her a leg up in learning the 7 or 8 languages she will undoubtedly master.
