EVERYTHING TO GAIN

From a Mothers point of view this story was a heartbreaking time in the life of someone who had so much going for her. The realism displayed during the grief, depression and months of trying to go on could only be written by someone who was close to the trials Mal went through. I don't think I'll ever forget the song that still rings in my mind that was part of the story. I felt the closure came when the children and her husband appeared in her dream and she was finally able to bury the ashes. I thought this was a good book and movie!

You Can Put Yourself in Meg' s Shoes!

What a heartfelt story "Everything to Gain," was. As I read this book some time ago now, I can see Meg's grief as raw as it was, like I was experiencing this situation myself. Losing her whole family was terribly tough. And day by day, she continues to suffer for a very long time until she is ready to kill herself; this is where the turning point comes in. You'll have to read the book to find out what I mean, as I don't want to say too much.

Can you say corny????

I just thought this book was so ridiculous! It even insulted my intelligence! I couldn't even read this without nodding off, i had to listen to it on audio tape where it was almost unbearable to listen to the overdramatic and idiotic conversations of alien people.

A GOOD MOIVE TOO!

Well i watched the movie for the book and that attracted me to read the book.. I found it a great plot and story line with awesome climax!!! It was a spcial on CBS!!!

Emotional book. Very well written.

There are people that think the best never happens. Perhaps that is me at this moment (why I gave the book 9/10). This is the first book (to date, March 1997) that I've read by Barbara Taylor Bradford and boy was it a heart shaking novel. Well done to Barbera! As another reviewer has already said, I felt like I was with the character. The book has taught me several things about life. I won't list them here
