Easy read and entertaining

Even though I found the book predictable it was fairly entertaining. I enjoy escaping into a world that few experience. Since it was easy to read it was easy to pick back up where I left up when I put it down. This is a great book for those who enjoy relaxing but don't always have the time to get involved in a complex plot.

Good Stuff!

I liked this book even better than The Devil Wears Prada! The story is about a reformed hippie chick named Bette who, after graduating from college, followers her friends in to the banking world in New York. After 5 years of banking hell, she up and quits her job one day. Bette's well known writer uncle puts his connection to good use and persuades Bette to try job in PR. Not just any PR, but hardcore, high celebrity PR. Bette's new job becomes her life, putting old friends and family on the back burner. While she is representing most of the high profile parties in Manhattan, she also becomes the gossip herself. Somehow she becomes seen with the most eligible bachelor in the city. The photos and gossip puts them in a high powered relationship being documented in all the gossip columns daily.

very cute!

Oh, this was a really cute book. I don't really understand the "disappointing" reviews that other people are leaving. It was light, fun, and cute. It also gave great insight into the parties that we read about in the magazines. Don't listen to the nay-sayers. It was cute and fun to read!

Perfect book for a rainy day

I don't know how anyone can refer to this book as "lame". I could not put it down for a second, so read it when you have time to sit and enjoy. This is the perfect book for a fun escape from reality and gives a little glimpse of life in a 20somethings glamourous world of PR, with all of the ups and downs that may bring. I gave a copy to all of my girlfriends and they absolutely loved it!

Loved it!

Despite what everyone else thinks, I loved the book. I wasn't expecting anything from it when I first picked it up, but as usual I wanted to be transported into someone else's life besides my own. That is about what I look for in a book. To me to see someone else's problems and let them unwind is great. I think it is just as good as her first book, The Devil Wears Prada. I would love to see what she comes up with next!
