Estrogen Revisted

I have just read the new book entitled Estrogen Revisited by Donna Walters & Blane Crandall, MD. This was an excellent little book that has answered my many questions about estrogen & my symptoms at my age. I have searched for these answers for years! No one had an answer as to what happens to a woman that had a hysterectomy but the ovararies were left..(the doctors said the ovararies would produce estrogen, you don't need anything else)but what does a woman at age 61 do when suffering many menopausal symptoms now? There were no answers out there for me until this little gem of a book came along with Donna's personal information about her estrogen use & Dr. Crandall's information from his medical background. This book is so easy to read & understand & I know it will answer a women's questions about this whole hormone dilema!!

Finally, some answers

This book is of such value to me that I felt compelled to write to the author. Below is a portion of the text of my letter: I have just finished your book Estrogen Revisited and you and Dr. Crandall have completely changed my approach and understanding of menopause. Thank you for adding much need clarity. I am a 52 year old woman who is experiencing hot flashes, night sweats and other symptoms linked to diminishing estrogen. Thanks to you both, I am now armed with the information that I need to take charge of my body and my life. There is so much confusion among medical experts and the media following the release of the Women's Health Initiative in 2002 that women have no idea what to do. This book explains the source of the confusion and presents viable options for pre-menopausal or menopausal women. The book consists of two sections. The first section is written by Donna Walters, a 60 year old woman who has almost 30 years of personal experience with estrogen therapy. The second section, written by Dr. Blane Crandall presents the science, very clearly articulated for the lay person. So, if you want answers which will allow you to make an informed decision for your life, read this book!

LIVE ladies!! This book is the truth!

I have read so much about hormones recently and this book is excellent! The first half is Donna Walter's testimony as to how estrogen changed her life (for the better) and the second is Dr. Crandall's brilliant explanation as to why the WHI and all the other negative press estrogen has got is wrong!! he then explains why it is essential for well being in all women! Wow, every woman I know will get it for Christmas. Donna and Dr. Crandall are saving women's lives!
