Not "Like New" condition; a lot of alternative medicine

I was disappointed to receive a copy that was advertised as "Like New", but which is actually missing at least 10 pages from chapters 1, 2, and 3. Many are the exercise pages, which are the ones that are required for my college class. As for the book itself, I think it definitely has a lot of helpful material regarding stress management, and is concise and easy to read. However, it is also filled with pseudoscience, similar to what you find in many alternative medicine teachings. I find this somewhat shocking considering that I am reading it for college credit. I am happy to read books on spirituality, but it is frustrating that this book presents the spiritual as scientific fact. For example, the author claims that Western medicine has proven that the body has an "energy field" and that cells have an "imprint of conscious frequency...[which is] transferred via entrainment from cell to cell, thus allowing a tumor to develop and keep growing...". That is just not true, and that is not how cells and tumors work. So, how much you enjoy this book may depend on your frame of reference, and tolerance for misrepresentations of scientific knowledge.
