Repeat: Not the author of "It's Here Now"

The author of "It's Here Now" was born in the 40's. The book "The Essential Unity of All Religions" was first published in the 30's. They are two different authors with the same name. Although their names show a unity of sorts between them, the differences between their writing calibers could be used as an example of the spectrum of variance in the manifest ream. I'm just kidding bout the last sentence... but really, they're two different authors. One's dead, one's alive.

Excellent Resource

Whoever wrote the Bogus comment obviously didn't read the book. This book is a little scattered in the writing style, but it is an excellent resource. It contains hundreds of quotations from religious scriptures that demonstrate how all the religions are very similar.

Excellent Resource!

Althought it is a little scattered, the information in this book is INVALUABLE. It is an excellent resource for learning about the common core of the world's religions. I was writing an essay on the similarities of the world's religions and my wife brought home a copy of this book from the used book store. That was 10 years ago and I have referred to this book thousands of times since then.

this author is NOT the 'its here now' author

this is a reprint. the author is pre-'its here now', and a different person with same name. ignore the 'bogus' comment below.

The Essential Unity of All Religions

This book provides a refreshing approach to human spirituality. The author chooses to examine the ways in which varying cultures are similar (regarding spiritual matters), rather than focusing on the differences. He successfully illustrates that many long sought-after truths are universal world-wide. Das explores ancient traditions and explains that humans have been engaged in these persuits over a vast period of time as well as great distances. It is humbling to realize that modern, Western traditions are neither unique nor original.
