Essential songs for Alto Sax is a beginner's delight

I was looking to build a repertoire of some of my favorite music pieces and in my seemingly endless search for a compilation of classic tunes along comes this collection. I already play guitar, bass and piano in a working band, and have been for years but in my recent retirement from my day job I have jumped into the world of the saxophone. I am a long-time rock and roll fan, so I was looking for something more than just pop music in general. I could already read music but as all newbies come to realize this instrument involves considerable transposition of keys and of course an entire new scope of fingering. This book has helped me immensely and it has brought me great joy to play to be able to work on my new adventure.
