Want to squash the skeptic in you get this book. GREAT

I have read many books on Qigong and Chigung all are great very informative but this book if there would be any would be the one I would use as a quik reference I learned straight forward things about the energy in the body while other books give an excercise but dont tell why it works now I know. The system will not take years more in one session it builds off tactile sensations or more takes something we already know and helps us understand something we see as mysterious. Visualization is not the main part of this book but you can still incorporate the exercises into any routine you already do and probably be able to better feel energy than those who dont know the great techniques in this book. 1.Learn about the different energy storage centers in the body . 2. Learn how to feel the energy in as little as one try I did. 3. The secret or thing unique about this book is touch everything builds off of a sense of touch that helps to recognize energy. 4. Have the ability to heal yourself and others most importantly you'll actually feel the energy not just imagine it though you can still do whatever routine you already do this will be an unbelievable compliment to it.

I've trained with Bruce and know the system.

I've been a healer since I was a young boy-I was able to move energy around at 7 years old or so though I was 11 before doing it regular and 14 before realising I could heal with it. Robert is one of the few authors who's techniques I can use and relate to. I've taught his specific techniques to a few other people to help them with specific issues. It IS easy to teach and transfer this skill. Just requires a little patience and imagination. Gone are the days of difficult visual only stuff. Instead you start tactiley and add the other senses in. I'm not a new ager, commercial therapist or qualified anything-I use my gift freely just because I can :). I don't argue the toss about suggestion, theories, or how/why it works. It works and works well so not too bothered about any debating now. That's for researchers. If you want to get a feel for this, goto his website and lookup the tutorials or just buy the book. You will, if you follow instructions, get energy sensations in under half an hour. Some folks-5 minutes. Its that easy. Btw a belief in negs,spirits or etheric stuff is not required. A willingness to try out a fresh new mental exercise is all you need. Regardless of what you think the results are really from.

Energy Work

Robert Bruce has created an interesting new technique for use in energy work. His frame of reference begins with a common problem: many people find the process of visualization very difficult when they first undertake mediation or energy work. Often, as these individuals read the how to books on these subjects they expect that they will actually see a full blown colour image manifest in front of them. They don't realize that much of what they will experience in these situations are merely sensations and changes of perception. Far too often, people get frustrated and quit before these techniques can do any good. To aid and strengthen the visualization process, Bruce has created his system. There are a number of different techniques. However, all start with physical touch: scratching, brushing, or making stirring movements on the surface of the skin. These movements are meant to get the individual to focus on the sensations in particular spots. Once the feelings of these real actions are felt then it is easier to extrapolate these motions to other body parts and to make use of other visualization techniques and energy work. I really liked the concepts set out in Energy Work and the process really does help build visualization skills. This foundation would be useful for meditation, positive experience visualization, breathwork, energy work, and many other aspects of alternative health and spirituality.

A good primer for energy workers

This is a good primer for energy workers, especially beginning or intermediate energy workers. Bruce manages to clearly and effectively explain how energy work can be done, as well as introducing the reader to exercises that will help the reader understand how to harness the internal energy s/he has at hir disposal. Bruce also manages to explain energy work without a lot of the usual mystical jargon that many books employ. His writing is down to earth and effective for what he offers. The only thing I would've liked to have seen from Bruce was internal citations. I looked at his bibliography and its clear he drew from a variety of sources, but I'm not really clear in what context he uses those sources.

A MUST FOR ANY ENERGY WORKER

ENERGY WORK is an easy-to-learn, pragmatic but nevertheless very efficient approach to the often mystified subject of inner energy work. The system's main working principle is feeling and body awareness - as opposed to the mostly visually oriented eastern systems. Written in an easy language, the author presents numerous exercises to activate the energy body and the different energy centers (chakras) which results in a stronger physical health; an enhanced healing capacity and increased psychic and spiritual abilities (dont forget: Robert Bruce is a specialist of astral projection and his book ASTRAL DYNAMICS, in which he first explained the principles of his energy work, is a classic!). Practice the techniques explained in ENERGY WORK alone or together with your own spiritual system, and you will be amazed by its power! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Energy Work for any energy or light worker!!
