Emily and the Notorious Prince- Terrific!

I have not read much by India Grey, but was most pleased with this terrific read. Playboy Prince Luis Cordoba, as the second son, never anticipated the role of king would fall to him. Upon the tragic death of his brother and sister-in-law, Luis faces the responsibilities of royal duty and his orphaned niece, 5-year-old Luciana. He feels ill-prepared for the role- reluctance and some resentment. With the inevitable ascension to the throne upon his ailing father's death, Luis struggles with the expectations of his people & staff advisors; his duty and the public persona he must present. Luis must overcome his poor reputation and instill confidence in his countrymen. Hurt and disillusioned Emily Balfour leaves the privileged safety of her home and loving family to strike out on her own and finds her independence financially and emotionally beyond challenging as "Miss Jones". Visiting a community center in consideration of a charitable contribution, Luis recognizes the ballet instructor "Miss Jones" as the Balfour heiress being sought desperately by her grief-stricken father-and seeks to reassure her father without divulging her whereabouts. Luis finds Emily in dire circumstances, he proposes the innocent heiress with an impeccable reputation accompany him to his country, Santos, to teach his shy niece, Luciana, ballet.
