Excellent highway man story

A romance that opens during the time when Oliver Cromwell attempts to overthrow Charles from throne. Anne Lowell is a lady, daughter of a man now considered a traitor to England. She is under the care of her uncle, a follower of Cromwell. When he forces her to marry a despicable man, she runs away and gets caught up in aiding the King from being caught, and runs right into the arms a highwayman, the Black Fox.Leiutenant Nat Braydon is really the notorious highwayman who robs from the rich to give to the King. He is instantly attracted to Anne but doesn't trust her loyalties. Because of his dangerous masquerading life he fears he can never be with his beloved Anne. There is definete passion between these two, and the backdrop of the story gives it more depth. However, I don't give this romance novel 5 stars because I feel that Summers could have written more into the story, developing the secondary characters along with the hero/heroine. But still a good buy!
