Book Overview
One night that changed everything.
During a late night walk, Russ Becker witnesses a breathtaking meteor shower, an otherworldly storm of light swirling overhead. Before he can even make sense of what he's seen, Russ discovers he's developed extraordinary supernatural abilities.
He soon learns he's not alone. Three other young people in his town also witnessed the meteor shower and each of them has powers of their own.
Different in every possible way, they should have remained strangers. But fate has other plans.
When the novelty wears off and they realize they're being hunted by a shadowy organization determined to recruit them, they band together to resist. But when Russ's ten-year-old nephew, Frank is kidnapped, everything changes. After all, this is Frank, the annoying but much-loved kid who adores Russ and follows him around like a puppy.
Forced into a series of deadly challenges to save Frank, Russ has no choice but to play their game. His captors have discovered his one true weakness: he'll do anything for the people he loves.
