With increasing environmental concerns and the need for sustainable development, this study examines how traditional residential building practices can be enhanced through the integration of sustainable features without compromising cultural identity. Using a real residential project as a case study, the research explores the application of passive design strategies, locally available natural materials, rainwater harvesting, solar energy utilization, and improved insulation. The findings reveal that many traditional construction methods already incorporate climate-responsive principles, which, when combined with modern green technologies, significantly improve energy efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and environmental performance. The study demonstrates that blending traditional architectural wisdom with contemporary sustainable solutions can reduce carbon emissions, enhance indoor comfort, and lower long-term maintenance costs. It also addresses practical challenges such as material availability, regulatory constraints, and community acceptance. Overall, the research highlights the potential of integrating tradition and innovation to create sustainable housing solutions.
