East Asian Studies (Volume 5) is published by the Institute of East Asian Studies at Zhejiang Gongshang University. Adhering to the mission of "rooted in Zhejiang, embracing East Asia, and reaching out to the world," the journal is committed to conducting comprehensive and in-depth research on East Asian countries and regions, with cultural dissemination as its core and historical contextualization as its method. Volume 5 features a special section titled "Celebrating the 90th Birthday of Professor Wang Jinlin - Symposium on the Publication of the Selected Works of Wang Jinlin's Studies on Japanese History," which includes ten speeches and academic papers by participating scholars. In addition, the volume includes three sections: "Thought and Theory," "History and Documents," and "Language and Culture," containing eight academic papers.
