Kila Kincaid loved being a Hollywood veterinarian. When her brother suffers a fatal ranch accident and leaves her his Montana Eagle Rock Ranch, she plans to sell it fast, and return home to civilization.

Her first visit to Eagle Rock three events change how she looks at life, and at herself. An Eagle message-screams at her, a bison calf looks into her eyes and Blake Black Bear interrupts her plans. Eagle Rock is love at first sight. Recognizing her love for Blake takes longer.

Just when everything seems "happy ever after," she learns her brother's death was not an accident and now the killer is after her.
