In the 1950's, it was customary for small communities that didn't have a newspaper to publish news of their social events in a newspaper of a nearby city of town. Details of visits, parties, school events, club meetings, weddings, anniversaries, vacation trips, etc. were submitted to the paper. In this fashion, the people in the communities were kept up-to-date with what was going on. This book is a compilation of such articles submitted from the communities of Beulaville, Calypso, Chinquapin, Kenansville, Rose Hill, and Warsaw, North Carolina.
