AGreat Children's Book

It is a sweet story of a child getting a pet cat. Since the cat is not a kitten, everyone including the cat has to make adjustments. The story and pictures will make young and old laugh. I give the book 5 stars.

A child's favorite

When my daughter was little this was her favorite book. She asked me to read it over and over. Recently we were invited to a baby shower and the invitation said to bring a gift of your favorite book when you were a child. Even though my daughter is 20 years old now, she immediately said "Duncan really likes me!!!" (Her FAVORITE line from the story.) I highly recommend this book.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!! This was the first book I ever read on my own. My mom bought it for me because i treated my cat like Dolores does. It is very entertaining, expecially for young girls who love animals. I still read this book!!!!

Memorized

My daughter, when I was teaching her how to read, fell absolutely in love with this book. So she decided she wanted to learn to read that one. But however, she memorized it and could probably recite it by heart if she wanted to. Infact, she basically could. As I sat there watching her "read" this book, I noticed she turned the pages far too early. Now she's a junior in high school and is taking an oral interpretation class in which she needed a children's book to read. And she just had to have this book. In her words, "Why should I choose an inferior book when I can choose the best book ever written?"

Funny, funny, funny

My 5 year old laughed hysterically when I read this story to her. I even read it to her class at school and they all laughed as well. A very enjoyable read. One of my daughter's favorites!
