I am already a person who "weaves the dream," so I got more out of this book in encouragement for not letting the day to day challenges of choosing to stay at home with my young son overwhelm my own need for creative reflection. I think DREAM WEAVING could be a terrific resource book for other women struggling to meet the demands of family and a creative soul. Susan Laubmeier

The wonderful insights in this book go straight to the heart of life. Emily L. VanLaeys presents an engaging story of her personal and spiritual development, set against the backdrop of compelling dreams. If ever you wondered about the importance of dreams, Emily's book provides dramatic testimony to how God speaks to us every night, and how our dreams help us to stay on course to fulfill our highest expression and good. - Rosemary Ellen Guiley, author of DREAMWORK FOR THE SOUL and DREAMSPEAK: HOW TO UNDERSTAND THE MESSAGES IN YOUR DREAMS

Clever and Wise

Emily's transitions from reality to dreams are an art form. I enjoyed her delightful sense of humor and her idealism coupled with a practical streak (e.g., a good night's sleep is more important than most of her dreams). She is funny and down to earth. This book contains a lot of wisdom. It's because I'm still an idealist that Emily's book speaks to me. I am also impressed with her views about marriage. Her book is very clever, very intelligent; one can almost imagine what the author is like . . . Her frankness and sensitivity are unusual . . . I treasure Emily's book. (Comments by Frances G. A gentle and wise tapestry
Published by Thriftbooks.com User , 24 years ago
In this book the author entrusts us with the wisdom she's gained as a dreamer, as a mother, and as a woman. Instead of a dictionary of dream symbols (there are plenty of those out there) the author does something far wiser and far more useful for us. She takes us on a journey inside her dreams and shows us what the Dream Weaver has taught her: how dreams became a source of wisdom, guidance and hope for her, and how we can take a similar journey in our own lives. This is an intimate book. The author shares real events, real people and real dreams. What a gentle gift she has given us. Please, don't miss this book.
