The Battledragon's War

This was the first book by Rowley that I read, and it was totally awesome! I've read this book too many times to conveniently say, and that's unnatural, even for me. I've now read all but one of Rowley's books, which is the one that comes after this one. The title is "Battledragon", and I haven't been able to find it anywhere. This book is worth the money. Trust me.

Superb

This was the first book I got in the Bazil Broketail series - and I was enthralled. Of course, I had to skip the first chapter to get past the boring story of Thrembode in Padmasa, but after reading this book, I was firmly hooked. I own every book in this series and have worn 2 sets of them out and I'm working on my third now. I could say that I've read each book approximately 100 times each - yes, they are THAT good. The entire series is excellent, and if you like fantasy stories or novels that make you laugh and cry - these are the ones for you.

THIS BOOK IS GREAT

Hello,I have been reading the Basil Broketail books since I was 10.I have read them all at least 6 times.I currently own 2 out of the series. This one is my favorite. From the fight to mate with Highwings to the fight with the snake-like demon at the end.

A great example of the genius of Rowley

Christopher Rowley triumphs again with this spectacular fantasy-war novel. The witches of Cunfshon must defend Argonath from the assalts of the masters of Padmasa, the witches using the Dragon Legions, and the masters attacking with hordes of imps, trolls, and the monstorous ogres. Overall a great book.

Magnificent

This was by far the best of the Bazil Broketail series. The newer stories have lost the innocence that Bazil and Relkin had but this story imbodies the perfect time in thier life. They had seen the horrors of war and the ability of the Dark Masters but still retained some idealism and even love. Rowley didn't over play the love story but in later stories he either underplayed it or made almost childlike in comparison to his earlier masterpieces. Dragons of War shows us what war was like in our middle ages with the great ability of Rowley to throw in love, mystery, revenge, poower, fantasy, magic, and best of all his great dragon portrayal without wings or fire, but as soldiers in a war and invasion of those that would destroy the centuries of work the cities of Argonath have worked so hard to build.
