Another excellent book in this series

I own three books in the series, all of which are first rate, the amount of readable, entertaining, and informative material, as well as the excellent photographs, is first rate. Any bird lover and or amatuer naturalist will want to add this series to their library.

Lots of Information

This book is part of a wonderful series (Wild Bird Guides). The book is dedicated soley to downy woodpeckers and gives information about feeding, nesting, and breeding. After reading this book, backyard birdwatching is even more enjoyable because you gain the knowledge to understand bird behavior better. Beautiful photographs give the reader close up views not possible in the wild.
