Don't Just Stand There delivers Written by a husband and wife team, this guidebook outlines everything an expectant father needs to know to navigate the big day. Dads get clear direction on what to bring, how to calm and soothe, what to say and, more important, what to definitely not say. A chapter on the stages of labor makes it easy to track what's happening when, while blank lists providespace for mom to fill in her personal preferences ahead of time. With witty illustrations and confidence-inspiring advice throughout, it's an essential for the expecting.
I ordered this for my husband. He read it in a very short period of time. It was a great starter for his education on what was happening to me and our unborn son. After reading this book, he was more involved and MUCH more knowledgeable!
Best book for a new dad to be!

Every new dad to be needs this book! The title says it all "How to be helpful, clued-in, supportive, engaged, and relevant in the delivery room." I bought this book for my husband because he wouldn't read any of the books that I was reading to get prepared and to know what to expect. He loved reading the book.
Liked it a lot.

I liked this book a lot and have added it to my delivery bag (baby coming in a couple of weeks). While it covered a lot of the stuff that other books cover, it also gave lots of good ideas and advice for stuff to do in the delivery room to help your partner. Recommended.

This book is really well written, both voices (the mom- and dad-to-be). As a man, I think the guy stuff is very funny. I think this book deserves to be read, since I didn't know of anything like this -- certainly nothing written for the man's perspective -- when my wife (and I) were going through pregnancy. The design is very pleasing. I think the compact size and round corners give it a handbook feel -- I can picture putting it into a bag much easier this way. The illustrations are fun, unique, and complement the layout really well. Good typography... all of which sets a soothing tone.
