This is a really cute book!

I love the humor in this book! It is a good reminder to us parents to slow down and laugh and play with our kids. Great illustrations, too.

Colorful illustrations

Auther/illustrator Jamie Harper has a winner here! My kids love this book. The illustrations are magnificent. Harper's use of color and her gentle stroke set the tone for a lively, happy family that just seems to be a little too close to reality-- Many parents and children alike can relate to this story. We've enjoyed reading this book over and over again. My kids also enjoy the detail in the illustrations.

A Child's Look at Adult Life

Narrated by a young girl, this book asks why parents are so boring. Brightly colored illustrations accompany the narration which is from a child's perspective. The two parents have more than enough to deal with from their three, energetic, fun-loving children. Readers will delight in the satisfying conclusion to this book as the parents learn to have a little more fun.
