Here, the magical tale begins after he crashes into a school bus. He doesn't die, but in a coma, he wakes up into a world disrupting the real from the imaginary. He battles Lady Matu, rock star, cult leader, ferocious spider monkeys, mobs of fierce crabs. All in the quest to find two Cherokee Medicine Men Joey believes can cure his friend Esther of her leukemia. Two times, he returns after a crash on his skateboard. The tale turns bizarre. Esther is worshipped as a goddess and Joey, returning home, is blind. Esther, cured, is a top fashion model. Joey goes back to find Don Pedros Lopos, a Mexican shaman, who can heal him. Like a Peyote induced hallucination, the adventure turns wild and enlightening.
