Book Overview

Dareese Dollar Bill Blake is one of those bad guys that women love to hate. In an effort to escape the hood life and dabble in the good life, Dollar quickly grows from a small pup to a big dawg. After carefully critiquing the game, he chooses a concrete type of hustle that he's sure will offer him an early retirement from the workforce.

If you ask his home girl, Thomasena, she'd say it's been nothing but love for Dollar since day one. In Dollar's eyes, however, Thomasena is just one of the boys, so it's no surprise that he tends to overlook her for every other piece of tail that wags by him.

When Dollar calls on Thomasena to help him in the ultimate come-up, will she be able to put her feelings of rejection on the back burner, or will Dollar get burned?

Let Dolla' be thy name

Word. This book had many of them. And they all intereresrin ones. Showing the life in the streets of...well I cant remember, but it was some place with hookers and pavement. Anyway, Dollar is a baddasssss with a fist full of money and a heart full of lead, or wuz it the other way around. Either way, this book is good if you have to write a 12th grade book report on something, and you either 1) already read Shakespieresor 2) cant find cliffs notes on any other book on the list.

A Joylynn exclusive!!!

Joylynn Jossel is one of the hottest new authors to hit the literary scene today! Her latest novel Dollar Bill is simply off the hook! Dollar shows us that we must be diligent in our quest for perfecting the game, but not so blind that we can't see past the sexy hips and glossed-up lips! Joy, you just keep on giving us these literary feasts!!

Enticing

I have become a fan of the new urban dramas, and Joy does a great job in telling her story. She captavates the reader into wanting to know more about the characters and finding out what's going to happen next. She has a way of pulling you inside her world and before you know it, you've read the entire book. Dollar Bill, along with all of Joy's other titles are a definite MUST READ!

Really Good (for Ghetto Fiction)

I really don't care for this ghetto fiction stuff that everyone seems to be really into. I only picked up this book because I read the author's novel "Root of All Evil" and it was the best book I had ever read. I was surprised at the genre of Dollar Bill considering the author's last book was more mainstream. Though caught off guard with the nature of the book, I can honestly say that I enjoyed it from start to finish.Unlike some of that other ghetto stuff out, this book had purpose. It was well written and an all around good read. It had twist and turns and lots of surprises just like her last novel. This ghetto fiction novel won't let you down with a bunch of ebonics and useless sex and violence. It opens a blind eye that prison doesn't always change a person for the better. Good job Josslyn!

Dollar Bill

This book is the bomb, Joy is putting it down and showing her TCP co-authors mad love. A must read if you like the street life books this is one you definitely will add to your collection. Looking forward to Joy's next street life novel.
