Sounds like a standard reference book but I read this book and although it's filled with lots of medical information, the formatting is not as a standard textbook, written in the first person style makes it easier to read and more personal. The first few chapters follow Paul Mason from a teenager hoping to get into medicine, to a young man burning the midnight oil through medical school to mature into an eager first year Intern determined to do his best. This an interesting read filled with a lot of keepsake medical information.
