CUTE!

This was a very fun book. The writing was smart, the characters were fun to get to know and, in my opinion, it's the best Flipside so far. It's not going to win awards for great literature, but it's a light read and an enjoyable one - recommended.

Great FUN read -escape from life's chaos w/this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It was a very easy read, yet fun and entertaining as well. The story is set in suburban Detroit, which was a bonus for me as I am a native of the area. I had a hard time putting this book down with Cara's fast paced life to follow. An all around fun read to forget the chaos our daily lives bring us. ENJOY!!

Fun little gem!

Cara Adams's world has taken a spin toward disaster. Mark "the Shark" Morgan -- the man who made her law school years a living hell -- has joined the firm she has painstakingly tried to make partner for six years. To make matters worse, Mark, with his New York contacts and credentials, is a bigger shoo-in for the aforementioned position. What's the girl to do? Not fall in love with the Shark... right? Things would be so different if the gods would grant her a do-over...This is another fun installment from Harlequin Flipside. It is a lighthearted, hip and witty romantic gem! I recommend this wonderful effort to those who love romantic comedies.

Cara has followed her thirteen rules for success and believes she has earned the privilege due to hard successful work.However, the office relationships tilt when her law school enemy Mark Morgan returns to town as competition at her law firm. Deep in her gut, Cara knows she lusts for Mark, but refuses to repeat her "dumbing" down performance she did at law school to attract him. Though they work together on a critical case, Mark and Cara struggle to ignore their attraction that is stronger than ever. She rejects what is blossoming into love because she does not trust him and he says no because he does not trust relationships after observing his parents. The story line contains interesting "truisms' on single life in the city especially in a law firm, but it is the conflict between Mark and Cara that makes the plot move.
