Short and Sweet, But not quite Perfect.

I was immeadiately drawn to this book's pleasing asthetic appeal. Tired of newsprint paged, miniature typed editions, the DK Concise Dictionary/Thesaurus was an attractive competitor. I brought this book as my first thesaurus and since then have found it helpful in writing letters and papers. Its a perfect hand-held size and the medium weight pages are also a nice quality. The format makes the book great for quick reference. However the book is truly lives up to the description of concise. At times I felt frusterated because it seemed almost too limited. I recommend this book for younger writers and students. I have recently graduated from highschool and although I will take this book with me to college, I out grew the text early in my highschool career.

DK Dictionary Thesaurus

This is a fabulous combination dictionary/thesaurus all in one. The text is easy to read and the book has great visual cues. Many other books we looked at had type that was really small and hard to read. It is easy to carry, not too heavy. A must for middle school.
