The (not so) disappointing Christmas gift

I received this book from some of my relatives for Christmas. It was a thin book, so I wasn't really expecting much. I am a really, really picky reader. If I don't like a book after the first chapter or so, I usually don't read it. I was completely wrong. This book kept me up nearly the whole night after I started reading it. And I loved it! The beginning is super exciting, and the suspense didn't leave even the slightest pause in the suspense for me to put it down. I am thoroughly impressed, especially with the detail John B. Hicks describes his sci-fi stuff. The other book I received was: My Buddypack I loved that one too. Hooray for John B. Hicks!!

Action Packed Futuristic Tale

Author John Hicks provides something for everyone here with his science fiction tale of a distant world torn apart by war. Adventure, romance, pet anibots (robots) and futuristic battles will keep readers interested. Brother and sister, Terron and Cindra, are orphaned and separated at a young age and don't realize their royal heritage and importance to creating peace for their planet of Katella. Terron becomes a corporal in the military of the Nomar nation's special forces; Cindra works in diplomacy for the other warring nation of Tikeria. Events bring the siblings back together to face evil political forces as they attempt to bring peace to their divided world. I would recommend this for readers 5th-8th grade.
