Disintegration of the USSR Before Its Collapse

By M.S. Wright

As the Soviet Union edges toward collapse, a hidden struggle unfolds deep within Ukraine-one fought not only with ideology and espionage, but through economic sabotage, political manipulation, and calculated resistance from inside the Communist system itself.

In Disintegration of the USSR Before Its Collapse, M. S. Wright delivers a sweeping historical political thriller centered on Ostap Popovich, a WWII veteran quietly building a covert network dedicated to weakening Moscow's grip on Ukraine. Alongside reformists, underground patriots, and the deeply conflicted KGB officer Alex Tokar, Popovich risks imprisonment, betrayal, and death in pursuit of a single goal: Ukrainian independence.

Haunted by personal tragedy and disillusioned by Soviet brutality, Alex believes the USSR is doomed to rot from within through corruption, overreach, and fear. As rival Soviet officials compete for power and the KGB tightens its surveillance, the movement must operate carefully inside a society where neighbors betray neighbors and loyalty can become a fatal weakness.

Blending Cold War intrigue, espionage, political strategy, and emotional human drama, Disintegration of the USSR Before Its Collapse is a gripping story about sacrifice, resistance, identity, and the slow unraveling of an empire.
