A book of true discovery written by an amazing man

I discovered the writings of Tom Dennard when I was a guest at "The Hostel In The Forrest" in Brunswick, GA. Tom is a sucessful lawyer who has done it all. We all hope to influence people we meet in life, but few have with the depth and sincerity Tom has. In the early seventies, true to the idealism of the times Tom set about building a hostel. (For those unfamiliar with hostels, they are inexpensive places for travelers to rest, exchange information, sleep and use as a base while traveling. Although more popular in Europe than The US they have a strong following here.) This book includes the beginings of the hostel with some hilarious stories of what can happen when you combine people from every race/color/creed and social background in a friendly atmosphere. The book strongly looks at what is right with the world today and shows us how we all make a difference as individuals. In Tom's final chapter "A Letter to (his daughter) Susan to share with her sons" there are 16 short essays on topics from money to moderation and love. I reccomend this book so highly that I WILL BUY IT from anyone who does not find themselves laughing out loud at least once or sitting back to think how much better off the world is with people like Tom Dennard to act as a beacon to us all.
